Synthetic Matte Finish Paint

Synthetic Matte Finishing Paint is an alkyd resin based, single component, air drying and matte looking finishing paint. It is used for both protection and decorative purposes on metal, wood and concrete surfaces. It has been developed for users who want an aesthetic and simple matte surface. It adheres well to the surface, is easy to apply and provides long-lasting protection. It offers medium level resistance against external weather conditions.

Surface Preparation and Application Method

The surface to be applied must be clean, dry and completely free from residues such as dust, oil, dirt, rust. The surface should be prepared with a suitable primer (e.g. Synthetic Primer).

Thinning Ratio:

  • Dilute with Synthetic Thinner at a rate of 10–15% (Less dilution can be done for brush and roller, more dilution can be done for gun)

Application Instructions:

  • Can be applied in 1–2 coats with brush, roller or gun
  • Waiting time between coats: 16–24 hours
  • Gun pressure: 2–2.5 bar
  • Nozzle diameter: 1.4–1.8 mm
  • Application viscosity: ~60–80 sec / DIN Cup 4 (20°C)

Coatable Area

Approximately 8 – 10 m² of surface can be covered with 1 litre of paint (depending on 40 – 50 micron dry film thickness)

Drying Time (23°C / 50% RH)

  • Dust-proof: 1 – 2 hours
  • Touch dry: 4 – 6 hours
  • Fully dry: 24 hours
  • Suitable for sanding: after 24 hours (if necessary)

Packaging

1 L – 2.5 L – 5 L – 10 L – 20 L metal packages

Storage

  • Storage in original packaging, in a cool and dry place (+5°C / +30°C)
  • Protect from direct sunlight and frost
  • Shelf life: 12 months (in unopened packaging)

Hazard Warnings

  • R10: Flammable
  • R20/21: Harmful by inhalation and in contact with skin
  • R36/38: May cause eye and skin irritation
  • R66/67: May cause skin dryness and dizziness may be
