Polyurethane 3+1 Glossy Varnish is a two-component, polyurethane resin-based, high-gloss topcoat varnish. It is used with isocyanate-based polyurethane hardener at a ratio of 3:1. In addition to its high chemical and physical resistance, it forms a hard and scratch-resistant film layer. It provides strong resistance to UV rays, yellowing and external weather conditions. It provides a bright, vibrant and decorative surface after application.

Surface Preparation and Application Method

The surface must be completely clean, dry and free from contaminants such as oil, dust, silicone. The base coat applications must be completely dry and the surface must be primed.


Packaging

  • Varnish: 1 L – 5 L – 10 L
  • Hardener: 0.33 L – 1.67 L – 3.3 L

Storage

  • Stored in original packaging, between +5°C and +30°C, in a cool and dry environment
  • Protect from sunlight and frost
  • Shelf life: 12 months under appropriate conditions

Hazard Warnings

  • R10: Flammable
  • R20/21/22: Harmful by inhalation, in contact with skin and if swallowed
  • R36/38: May cause eye and skin irritation
  • R43: May cause allergic reactions
  • R66/67: May cause dry skin and dizziness

Safety advice

  • S2: Keep away from children
  • S16: Keep away from open fire, no smoking
  • S24/25: Avoid contact with eyes and skin
  • S36/37/39: Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye protection
  • S51: Use only in well-ventilated areas
  • S56: Dispose of waste in accordance with environmental legislation

Mixing Ratio

3 parts Polyurethane Glossy Varnish
1 part Polyurethane Hardener
10 – 20% Polyurethane Thinner (depending on the application method)

Area That Can Be Covered

Approximately 8 – 10 m² of area can be covered with 1 liter of mixture
(Depending on 50 – 60 micron dry film thickness)

Drying Time (23°C / 50% relative humidity)

  • Dust-proof: 15 – 20 minutes
  • Touch dry: 1 – 2 hours
  • Full dry: 12 – 24 hours
  • Oven dry (optional): 60°C for 30 minutes
