Heat Resistant Paint

Heat Resistant Paint is a single component top coat paint based on silicone resin and has high temperature resistance. It contains special aluminum pigments and heat resistant additives. It is used for both protective and decorative purposes on metal surfaces exposed to high temperatures. It has heat resistant versions up to 600°C. It adheres very well to the surface, does not flake, and maintains film integrity under heat.

Features

  • High temperature resistance: Options between 200°C – 600°C
  • Air drying system
  • Perfect adhesion to the surface
  • Resistant to color fading
  • Resistant to thermal shocks
  • Heat-appropriate color options such as aluminum, black, gray
  • Does not flake or swell
  • A single or double layer application option

Application Area

  • Exhaust systems, silencers
  • Barbecue, stove and fireplace surfaces
  • Heat body and boiler outer surfaces
  • Pipes, chimney systems
  • Industrial furnaces and heating systems
  • High temperature metal equipment

Surface Preparation and Application Method

The surface must be clean, dry and completely free from residues such as oil, dirt, rust. Sandblasting (SA 2½) is recommended if necessary.

Application Method

  • The paint should be mixed homogeneously before application
  • It can be applied with a roller, brush or gun
  • It can be applied by diluting it by 5-10% with a suitable thinner Gun Application Gun pressure: 2-2.5 bar Nozzle diameter: 1.4-1.6 mm Waiting time between coats: 10-20 minutes Coverable Area Approximately 8-10 m² of area can be covered with 1 liter (depending on 40-50 micron dry film thickness). Drying and Service Area Surface dry: 30 – 45 minutes (23°C) Dry to touch: 1 – 2 hours Full cure: Begins with initial heat exposure Curing time may vary depending on service temperature Note: For maximum performance, the paint should be cured with controlled heating (e.g. 1 hour at 200°C).

Gun Application

  • Gun pressure: 2 – 2.5 bar
  • Nozzle diameter: 1.4 – 1.6 mm
  • Wait time between coats: 10 – 20 minutes

Area that can be covered

Approximately 8 – 10 m² of area can be covered with 1 litre (based on 40 – 50 micron dry film thickness).
