Floor Varnish

STHANLEX 2K Floor Varnish is a polyurethane-based, two-component, solvent-based, high chemical and mechanical resistance, transparent floor coating varnish. It is applied to surfaces such as concrete, epoxy-coated surfaces, stone and mosaic, creating a long-lasting, dust-proof, bright and protective surface. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It offers both aesthetic and technical performance with UV, water, chemical and abrasion resistance.

Surface Preparation and Application Method

Prior to application, the surface must be dry, clean, free of dust, oil and loose particles, and have a moisture content below 4%. If necessary, the surface should be primed or smoothed by sanding/grinding.

Mixing Ratio (A + B)

  • 2:1 (2 parts varnish + 1 part hardener – by weight)
  • If necessary, can be thinned with 5 – 10% Polyurethane Thinner

Application Instructions

  • Can be applied in 1–2 coats with brush, roller or gun
  • Waiting time between coats: 8 – 12 hours
  • Pot life: 2 – 3 hours (at 23°C)
  • Application ambient temperature: +10°C to +30°C

Area to be covered

Approximately 7 – 9 m² surface can be covered (depending on 50 – 60 micron dry film thickness)

Drying Time (23°C / 50% relative humidity)

  • Touch dry: 4 – 6 hours
  • Light foot traffic: 24 hours
  • Full hardness and chemical resistance: 5 – 7 days

Packaging

  • 3 kg set (2 kg Varnish + 1 kg Hardener)
  • 15 kg set (10 kg Varnish + 5 kg Hardener)
  • Different packaging options are available for special orders

Storage

  • Store in original, closed packaging between +5°C and +30°C
  • Protect from freezing and direct sunlight
  • Shelf life: 12 months

Hazard Warnings

  • R10: Flammable
  • R20/21: Harmful by inhalation and in contact with skin
  • R36/38: May cause eye and skin irritation
  • R66/67: May cause dry skin and dizziness

  • S2: Keep away from children
  • S16: Keep away from fire, no smoking
  • S24/25: Avoid contact with eyes and skin
  • S36/37/39: Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and goggles
  • S51: Use only in well-ventilated areas
