Ground Epoxy Primer is a two-component, solvent or solvent-free, epoxy resin-based surface preparation material with high adhesion strength. It is applied before self-leveling, epoxy or polyurethane floor coating systems, ensuring a strong bond between the surface and the coating. It is used to saturate absorbent surfaces, prevent dusting and increase adhesion.
Surfaces must be clean, dry, solid, completely free of oil, dirt, paint residue and loose particles. Surface moisture content must be maximum 5%. If necessary, the surface should be prepared by shot blasting, scraping or sanding.
Generally 2:1 (Resin:Hardener) – may vary according to manufacturer’s recommendations.
Depending on surface absorbency:
Surfaces must be clean, dry, solid, and completely free of oil, dirt, paint residue and loose particles. Surface moisture content must be a maximum of 5%. If necessary, the surface should be prepared by shot blasting, scraping or sanding.
