Epoxy Primer

Epoxy Primer 7:1 is a two-component, epoxy resin-based primer that provides high adherence and high chemical and mechanical resistance. It is used with an amine-based hardener at a ratio of 7:1. It provides excellent adhesion to the surface and creates an ideal base for top coat paints and varnishes. It provides high protection against corrosion. It is especially suitable for use on metal, concrete and mineral-based surfaces.

Features

  • High adhesion ability
  • High corrosion resistance
  • Resistant to chemical and mechanical effects
  • Primer structure that integrates with the surface
  • Smooth and strong ground for final coat products
  • Superior performance on concrete and metal surfaces

Application Area

  • Corrosion preventive primer on metal surfaces
  • Concrete, cement and mineral based surfaces
  • Industrial building elements
  • Tank, pipe and machine surfaces
  • Automotive, ship and heavy industry applications
  • Ground preparation before epoxy paint and varnish systems

Surface Preparation and Application Method

The surface to be applied must be dry, clean and free of dust. Oil, rust and residues must be cleaned, and if necessary, the surface must be sanded or sanded. Primer and hardener are mixed in the specified ratios and diluted with epoxy thinner according to the application viscosity.
