Acrylic Primer

Acrylic 4+1 Primer is a two-additive, acrylic resin-based, highly filled and polishable surface primer. It is especially ideal for automotive, industrial and metal surface applications. It is used to eliminate surface defects created by the putty and to hide them in a smooth and homogeneous under-paint surface. High filling It stands out with its capacity, easy dissolvability and paint holding power.

Surface Preparation and Application Method

The surface to be applied must be dry, clean, and free from residues such as dust, oil and rust. The surface should be sanded, puttied if necessary and completely dry.

Mixing Ratio

  • 4 parts Acrylic Primer + 1 part Hardener
  • 10-15% Acrylic Thinner can be added if necessary

Application Instructions:

  • Can be applied in 2–3 coats with a gun
  • Wait time between coats: 5 – 10 minutes
  • Gun pressure: 2 – 2.5 bar
  • Nozzle diameter: 1.6 – 1.8 mm
  • Application viscosity: ~20–25 sec / DIN Cup 4 (20°C)

Area to be covered

1 liter mix can cover approximately 6 – 8 m² of surface (depending on 80 – 100 micron dry film thickness)

Drying Time (23°C / 50% RH)

  • Dust-free: 10 – 15 minutes
  • Touch dry: 30 – 45 minutes
  • Ready for sanding: 2 – 3 hours
  • Full dry: 6 – 8 hours

Packaging

  • 1 L – 4 L – 20 L sets (Primer + Hardener in separate packaging)

Storage

  • Storage should be kept in its original packaging, in a cool and dry environment between +5°C and +30°C
  • Protect from sunlight and freezing
  • Shelf life: 12 months (under appropriate conditions)

Hazard Warnings

  • R10: Flammable
  • R20: Harmful if inhaled
  • R36/38: May cause eye and skin irritation
  • R66/67: May cause skin dryness and dizziness may open

Safety Recommendations

  • S2: Keep away from children
  • S16: Keep away from open fire, do not smoke
  • S24/25: Avoid contact with eyes and skin
  • S36/37/39: Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and goggles
  • S51: Use only in well-ventilated areas
  • S56: Dispose of waste in accordance with environmental legislation
